Turner Watson has over 12 years of salon experience, and is one of our expert Redken and L'Oreal Professional color specialists. Her advanced training includes cut and color instruction with Redken, as well as extensive cut training through L'Oreal Professional. Her talent and approach were rewarded with a First Place distinction at the prestigious Premiere Orlando International Beauty Event.

During her 10 years of salon experience, Marie Lorentz has self-taught entrepreneur Marie Lorentz also pursued advanced training in color and hair shaping with Redken, L'Oreal Professional and Paul Mitchell, with further hair shaping instruction at Toni&Guy. Her experience also includes styling for bridal photo shoots appearing in Charleston Magazine, and she participated in Charleston Fashion Week 2007.

Charleston native Marena Spell has 12 years of salon experience, with color being her forte. Highly skilled in doing any color service from “Charleston Blonde Highlilghts” to fashion forward color designs. Her advanced training includes courses in color and hair shaping with Toni&Guy, Paul Mitchell, L’Oreal Professional, Redken, Pravanna, and Lanza.

Also a participant in Charleston Fashion Week 2007, Melissa Greenaway's 10 years of salon experience includes a focus on weddings and events, as well as styling for photo shoots. Her expert color training includes work with Redken and L'Oreal Professional, with advanced cut training at L'Oreal Professional and Toni&Guy. She recently styled a bridal shoot featured in Ines Del Mar Weddings magazine.

Lindsey Johnson has 10 years of salon experience, and she has specialized in weddings for 6 of those. After her training at the Toni&Guy Academy in Dallas, Texas, Lindsey stayed on at the salon as an employee for seven years, part of which she spent as a Toni&Guy educator.

A 2005 graduate of Clemson University, Kim Sumner has 7 years of experience with cut and color with Redken, L'Oreal and Wella. She also spent a year and a half training under color experts and Canvas owners Turner Watson and Marie Lorentz. Her specialty is natural, sun-kissed highlights. Kim attended the Academy of Hair Technology in Greenville, S.C., state board certified and a South Carolina top five school. Her styles were featured on the runway for Charleston Fashion Week 2009.

Julia has over 10 years of salon experience. She has continued her education throughout her career, attending various classes with Bumble & Bumble, Redken, Paul Mitchell and Wella. Julia’s goal is to bring her clients vision to life, through communication, creativity and her passion for both cutting and coloring.

Jennifer has over 5 years salon experience. She began her career as an aesthetician, graduating from the Art & Science Institute Of Cosmetology in 2003. Expanding her knowledge she graduated from the International Beauty School in 2007 for cosmetology while apprenticing at The Strand Hair Studio, LLC on Martinsburg, West Virginia. She has taken advanced courses in color and hair design while attending the I.B.S. Hair Show in New York City. Jennifer has also styled hair and applied make-up for weddings, previously doing freelance work traveling to various locations. Her forte is multi-dimensional color, ranging from brilliant blondes to rich brunettes and red heads.

Casey has 3 years of experience. She has trained under all the stylists at Canvas. Casey graduated from Lacy’s School of Cosmetology in 2009. She is also continuing her education with L’Oreal, Redken and Lanza.
